We all recognize that being happy is a choice we make, but there are those moments when even our happiness is not strong enough to subdue our angry emotions. So, let's do something about it! Here are some suggestions to put yourself in a "calm state" when you find yourself consumed by angry feelings:
1. Take a walk. Walk at a comfortable, but, faster than your normal pace.
2. Go lift weights, or start lifting weights... Lifting weights will sap that anger out of you, by forcing your mind to concentrate on the task of lifting the weight.
3. Run! LOL Go for a five minute run, or, run some sprints at a local field.
4. Use perspective. Anger is a decision you make. Decide that you don't want to be angry and do "things" to get your mind away from what is causing you to want to be angry. It's the better option.
