One word.....disappointing.

Booked and paid for last December. "Two nights for the price of one".....sounded too good to be true, and it was!

Our pre booked table in the resteraunt was cancelled because "No-one else has booked"

The Coaching Inn we stopped at dates back to before 1770, also the last time the rooms had an update.

Whitby itself? Overpriced, surly staff, full of day trippers who all had at least one dog with them, and overall an atmosphere of "give us yer cash and clear off"

Sorry whitby, you cannot rip people off just because you happen to be a quaint old fashioned holiday destination. Its cheaper to fly to Spain and stop in a decent modern hotel for a week then it is to spend one week-end with you. No wonder the town emptied when the day trippers got back on their coaches.

Booked out a day early and came home. We didnt want your "free nights accomodation" thank you.

Very dissapointing all round.
