A poem about my Father who passed away in 2009
Verbal abuse why?
Simply about the longing for home.
This poem was first published in 'Moths in a Jar' and was written for my daughter, Matilda. It has since been published on line but I cannot remember which webzine it was and I am too lazy to look it up in my records. In away I am sorry not to be putting new stuff up but I am afraid that some editors will not take work that has appeared on fora like this one so, until I am sure where I am going to send a piece, I am inclined to hold back. Anyway, I hope you like it. I am not what you might call a 'natural mother' and, at the time, it came as quite a shock to me to discover that I was pregnant. Now, of course she is one of the brightest stars in my sky.
I take vunlerable kids and the disabled/ elderly people from home to day centres and various contact centres and home again. I see a lot.
