This poem speaks of a person dying and their strength--as well al resolve--in the process. It's one of the poems from my upcoming novel, Letters From Heaven: It introduces the 2nd section of my novel (my novel is in sections vs chapters as it consists of "letters," with the introduction of each section written in prose.
A friend that I had gone to school with was a foreign exchange student, I became great friends with her and stil am to this day. Since we met her mother had been sick and about a month ago I told her that I would write a Poem and dedicate it to her mother. The next day I finished the one you are about t read. I was glad when I finished but as I posted it, I was the told that her mother had died that same day. So I dedicate this to her.
Describes a difficult journey I had to take many years ago... I wouldn't wish the journey on anyone but i would like everyone to arrive where i got to (and beyond!) Despite the obvious categorisation I refuse to refer to it as a poem about drugs - there should be a category called 'recovery'!
Hope that maybe I can change. Maybe for once I will not be so fearfull of success that i end up forcing myself to fail.
If you have a strong woman in your life, who has loved and taken care of you...you can relate :-)
The Fire - A poem in three parts, I wanted to explore the fire which burns within us all. To look at how our trials affect it but how it can never be estinguished. The Fire which we all carry.
My brother was made redundant from his job the other day and with my Human Resources background I have been offering him some very much needed support. I know that he doesn’t feel like being positive about the situation right now, and I fully understand it, but I hope, through time, he will realise the opportunities that he can now create for himself. I am now reminded of this quote, “When one door closes another one opens; but we often look so long and regretfully upon the closed door, that we do not see the ones which open for us.” (Alexander Graham Bell). This next poem is inspired by this situation and I hope that it instills some hope and encouragement for you and anyone you know who is going through a similar experience. Raise your thinking to a higher level and build up your courage and confidence to help you achieve what you want in life. Lots of love Clarabelle
A long and somewhat rambling entreatment to remember that your strength is within you and that it takes commitment and courage to simply keep going.
