I've never been a fan of waking up,
forsaking my dreams has never attracted me.
I rather be lost in a world of imagination,
never having to face the cold reality of truth.

Today I tell myself to hold on,
just get over this morning song,
by the sunrise it will all be over,
release from all that I've endured.

So I light a cigarette,
open my oldest bottle and take a sip,
place the Chopin record on repeat,
load my old revolver and lie on the bed.

I've never been a fan of waking up,
and sleep late this morning I shall.
